The Incomprehensibility of God – Beauty

Psalm 50:2

“Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God shines forth.”

Reflection:

Have you ever looked at someone or some part of creation and been momentarily transfixed by beauty? In that moment, everything else fades away. You do not think about anyone or anything else around the beauty you behold. You do not even think about the pain of your past or the potential dangers of the future. You are held captive by the beauty before you. You are not puzzled. You do not need to figure it out. You simply behold that which is beautiful and, in that moment, you are satisfied. Yet, at the same time, you long for more; you wish for the moment never to end. You wish to delight in the beauty you behold forever without that feeling coming to an end.

Christian, God is the fullness of beauty forever! He is the perfection of beauty! His beauty never fades! Gaze upon Him in the splendor of His beauty today. Marvel at Him and, in beholding His greatness and glory, praise Him as He deserves.

In Christ,
