The Love of God in Time – The Future

Philippians 1:21

“For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.”

Reflection:

Human love can be so fickle. A person can say today, “I love you,” and leave you tomorrow, never to see you again.

Not so with God! Christian, God will love today and every tomorrow. You can be so certain that God loves you that you can say with Paul, “To die is gain.” When that future day comes when death approaches, you will find that God loves you still. Jesus has died for your sins. You have His righteousness. You can be so confident in that day that even when that great enemy creeps toward you with its lifeless fingers you can smile as you think on the love of God and say, “Ah, to die is gain! To heaven I go!”

In Christ,
