Thanksgiving - Thanks for Fellow Christians

1 Corinthians 1:4

“I give thanks to my God always for you because of the grace of God that was given you in Christ Jesus.”

Reflection:

Besides your own salvation by faith through grace in Jesus Christ, what is the best gift God has given to you? I praise the Lord if He has given you provision enough! Certainly, some of you have been healed and cured of injuries and diseases by God’s good grace. Yet one of the greatest gifts, by far, God has given us in this life is one another. Elijah despaired of life when he felt alone in the world as though he were the only one who knew the truth of God. He would not have been satisfied with mountains of gold or lavish tables overflowing with royal food and drink, but his heart found peace and joy when God said to him, “7,000 faithful remain still in Israel.”

It is good to thank the Lord for food, for a break from work, and certainly for the salvation God has given to you. This Thanksgiving remember also to thank the Lord for the good gift of His grace given to brothers and sisters in Christ.

In Christ,

Pastor Yonkman
