2 Peter 3:18
“Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”
Reflection:
To grow in grace is to grow in sanctification. It is the work of God in the life of the Christian that makes the Christian more like Christ. If you would like to grow in this way, then you must continue to grow down in humility and up in prayer, asking the Lord to give you the grace you so desire.
To grow in knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ results in peace, confidence, and countless other strengths. The more you know about Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, the less this world will intimidate you with its threats. The more you know about Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, the greater will be your confidence that nothing can rob you of the love of God that is yours in Christ Jesus. The more you know about Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, the more you will grow in joy that overflows since you learn more and more that it is a perfect joy that God Himself has won for you in Christ and given to you forever.
If you want to grow today, consider especially the immeasurable delight of growing in grace and knowledge.
