Growing in Christ – Growing Out

Matthew 28:19-20

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

Reflection:

Do you wish to grow today? Consider growing out.

Begin by growing downward in humility, repenting of your sin. Then grow up in prayer, lifting up your heart to God and placing your faith in Him. Then, grow out. Take your love of the Lord to the people to your right and to your left and then see how you are not just speaking words – you are growing. Your love for God is shared with others so that they become part of the body of Christ. As you share Christ you yourself are growing, adding to yourself, gaining brothers and sisters who are part of the body of Christ and who now give you greater strength and joy! You lose nothing when you give away Christ; you only gain. If you want to grow today, consider growing out.

In Christ,
