Short Prayers – “You are my God.”

Psalm 31:14

“You are my God.”

Reflection:

You WILL say these words today. I am not commanding you. I am stating a basic fact. You are going to go throughout your day saying to something, “You are my God.” The only question is, what will you say it to?

I recommend that you get ahead of bad decisions and determine right now that you will choose to speak these words regularly and repeatedly of the One True God. If you weigh God in the scales and compare Him to every other so-called god right now and if you find that God is immeasurably greater in every way, then you will be well prepared to go throughout your day trusting in Him most and saying to Him, “You are my God.” You will say these words eventually anyways when you kneel before God in heaven. Why not say them today and fill your heart with the joy of this short prayer, thanking Him for His grace in Jesus Christ and for the salvation He has given to you? How sweet is this short prayer: “You are my God.”

In Christ,
