How to Be Justified by God – Through Faith

Galatians 2:16

“We know that a person is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, so we also have believed in Christ Jesus, in order to be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the law, because by works of the law no one will be justified.”

Reflection:

What would you pay to be made worthy enough to be able to enter heaven and then stay there forever? Would it be worth it to give up all of your earthly possessions for such a gift? If you understand anything about the glory of heaven forever, then the previous question is laughable. It is worth all you have and infinitely more.

Yet all that God requires is faith. That’s it. And even the faith that God requires is a gift from Him! He gives you that gift and then rewards you for it! You are justified by grace through faith in Christ. God does not require a mountain of gold. Besides, that would not be equal to the value of heaven forever. God does not require an ocean of diamonds. Again, such a sum would not be equal to the value of heaven forever. If you would be justified, then God requires simply this: that you trust in His grace through faith in Christ.

In Christ,
