Psalm 136:1
“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever.”
Reflection:
Sometimes people in this life tell you that they will always love you…but then they don’t.
Christian, consider how sweet it is that God writes to you this morning a love note in Psalm 136 where He says that He will always love you and you know it is true! You do not have to cross your fingers and hope that He will still feel the same way about you tomorrow. He has not only proven His love for you in Jesus Christ, but He has sealed His love for you! Through your faith the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus, all of your sins have been forgiven and you have been given the righteousness of Christ! You are the beautiful, beloved bride of Christ and nothing can change your status! You are a citizen of heaven already! You have received the Holy Spirit who is the seal of the benefits of salvation!
When will the love of God for you run out? He has told you: “His steadfast love endures forever.”
